What remains is memory — and the gratitude of those she loved.

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Michigan. She was 82 years of age.
Margaret was born on January 16, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Conrad and Irene (Lochinski) Buda. She graduated from St. Stanislaus High School in 1962. On April 4, 1964, she married the love of her life, Charles S. Jones Jr., and he survives her.
Margaret was a devoted member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She was a member of the League of Catholic Men and Women and the Senior Citizens Club, and she generously volunteered her time assisting with parish funeral luncheons. She was also an associate member of the UAW Local 362 Retirees. Margaret will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her faith, and her willingness to serve others.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles; her children, James (Amy) Jones and Jennifer (Daniel) Weaver; her grandchildren, Jacqueline (Ralph) Carder, Ian (Makayla) Jones, Shane Weaver, and Kathleen Weaver; and her brothers, Mike (Sandy) Buda and John (Linda) Buda.
She is also survived by her in-laws: Patricia Bonner; Susan (Don) Tude Thout; Dolores Podgorniak; June (Michael) Windt; and Michael O'Laughlin.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Irene Buda; her father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Doris O'Laughlin; her brothers, James Buda, O.F.M., and Raymond Buda; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Bonner, Floyd Podgorniak, and Kevin O'Laughlin.
The Funeral Mass for Margaret will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Avenue, Bay City, Michigan 48708. Rev. Fr. Nicholas Coffaro will preside. Private interment will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
