After a life of love and quiet grace, Reba "Sue" Murray of Springfield, MO has passed.
The following words honor a life that mattered to many.
Reba spent her working life as ['Stretch and Sew for years'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Some find their compass in faith. Reba was among them.
Reba "Sue" Murray, age 91, Springfield, Missouri, passed away April 27 th, 2026.
Sue was born in Springfield, Missouri on April 7, 1935, to Herman and Zula Fann. She was raised in Seymour, Missouri and attended Seymour schools. Sue was married for 29 years. She worked at Stretch and Sew for years; she loved sewing and making clothes. Sue loved dogs of smaller breeds and raised many of them. She was an amazing mother and friend. Sue loved her kids and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sue and her sister-in-law Betty loved to travel, and they took many bus trips together.
She is survived by her son, Randy; daughter, Candy; son-in-law, Darren; stepsons, Gary and Larry; grandchildren, Sam, Nikki, Danielle, Jesse; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2026 at Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Seymour Cemetery.
