After a life of love and quiet grace, Richard Alan "Rich" Arnold of Millfield, OH has passed.

These are the contours of a life that meant a great deal to many.

Richard spent his working life as ['the Riley Russel Farm', 'Cosper Well Service'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

What was given remains, even when the giver is gone.

Richard Alan "Rich" Arnold, age 67, of Millfield, Ohio, passed away May 2, 2026 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

Rich was born March 6, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Delbert Arnold and Cloris Napper Arnold. As a teenager, he worked for the Riley Russel Farm, where he was considered family; was later employed by Cosper Well Service, Central Oil Field Supply, Hocking Valley Concrete, Dover Township; loved taking care of the Dover Township Cemeteries; loved spending time with his nephew and niece Norman & Shawna Bickley, helping them out with Fast Traxx fair races; loved his dogs Char, Cinder, Ace; loved his cats Mr. D., Momma Kitty. He loved getting into adventures with his nephew Phillip Arnold.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years Sheila Arnold; siblings Joe, Sandy, Gary, Phil; brother-in-law & sisters-in-law Mike (Christy) Shust, Debbie Sanders, and Kathy Shust; lots of nieces and nephews.

Rich was preceded in death by Parents; brothers Don & Paul Arnold; brothers-in-laws & sisters-in-law Norman Bickley, Norma Arnold, Bill Shust, Jack Sanders; in-laws Alex & Dorothy Shust.

Funeral services will be held at 1P.M., Thursday May 7, 2026 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Brad Seevers officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio. Following the burial, the family and friends will gather at the 13 Event Center.

Calling hours will be observed 10am-1pm Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Plains and Chauncey Fire Departments, and to the Athens Humane Society.
