After a life of love and quiet grace, Ricky L. "Rick" Holcomb of Lone Jack, MO has passed.

The following words honor a life that mattered to many.

Ricky spent his working life as ['many years before retiring'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Family is the thread that runs through every story.

Ricky L. "Rick" Holcomb passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2026, in Lone Jack, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born in Statesville, North Carolina, to Virginia Holcomb and James Holcomb. He carried the values of hard work, dedication, and love for family throughout his life.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he built a successful career as the owner of his own painting company, where he worked for many years before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in everything he did.

In his free time, Rick found great joy in fishing and hunting. Whether out on the water or in the woods, he cherished the peace of nature and the memories made along the way.

Above all, Rick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean L. Holcomb; his daughters, Teresa Camby (Scott), Stacey M. Marie (Tracy), and Amy High (Ronny); nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rick's legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held with family.

Cremation Society of Kansas & Missouri is honored to serve the family of Ricky L. Holcomb.
