Robert "Bob" Lewandowski, age 90, of Onamia, MN, passed away on May 1, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wahkon with a visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Interment will be in St. Andrews Cemetery in Elk River, MN. Arrangements are with the LeMieur Funeral Home in Onamia.
Robert Jacob was born to William and Clara (Marshik) Lewandowski at home on the farm in Morrill in Benton County on September 16, 1935, at 7:15 am. Baptized September 22 by Father Paul Shurek and sponsors Jack and Agnes Ziegler (his uncle & aunt), Robert graduated from Foley High School. Robert served in the Army stationed in Korea. When he returned home from the army, he married the love of his life, Donna Mae Henry, on June 19, 1961, at St. John's Catholic Church in Foley, Minnesota. Robert and Donna Mae resided in Elk River, where he worked at Hoffman Engineering for 30+ years and retired in 1999. In 2000, they moved to Onamia. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wahkon. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, which he was very proud of, and enjoyed helping out at the church. Family was very important to Robert. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Robert and Donna Mae went on many trips and enjoyed traveling with special friends and family throughout the years.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Roger (Sandy) of Ramsey, MN, and Timothy of Monticello, MN; two grandsons, Ross and Reid of Ramsey, MN; other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna Mae, daughters Christine Louise Lewandowski and Sheila Mae Lewandowski; and all his brothers & sisters.
