After a life of love and quiet grace, Sherwood Buckner of Newburg, IN has passed.
Here is what we wish the world to know of Sherwood.
Sherwood spent his working life as ['machine operator'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
Those who live by belief leave a different kind of mark.
Sherwood Buckner, 66, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway, Newburg, Indiana. Born in Christian County, Kentucky, on February 17, 1960, the son of the late Lionel Buckner and Ethel Pryor Buckner.

He attended and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church in Guthrie, Kentucky. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, mowing, cooking, working, buying tools, assembling things, and remodeling.
