IN LOVING MEMORY

Terry Pruitt Litchford

Jun 01 1955 - May 02 2026 May 02 2026

Terry Pruitt Litchford, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 70.

She was born on June 1, 1955, to J.D. Pruitt and Vivian (Stewart) Pruitt in McKinney, Texas. Terry attended McKinney High School and later spent many years with the Collin County Sheriff's Department. During her time there, she made lifelong friends and collected stories she was always happy to retell with a laugh.

Terry married the late William Litchford in 1991, in Anna, Texas. They shared 32 years of love, laughter, and memories until his passing in 2023.

Her greatest joy was found in making others laugh. She never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel comfortable the moment they met her. She loved sitting with friends over a good cup of coffee, telling stories, catching up on the latest happenings, and offering her own take on things. Those moments, full of laughter and love, were where she was most at home. A devoted Christian, her faith, humor, and kind heart guided her life and touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Terry is survived by her daughter, Tami Hines and husband, Paul of Clarksville, Texas; son, Jason Smith and wife, Melissa of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Sierra Smith, Broc Smith and wife Mia, Will Smith, Zach Hines and wife, Sophie, Vivian, Hines, and Charlie Hines; great-granddaughter, Estella Smith; and sister, Dorothy Scalf; several nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.
