After a life of love and quiet grace, Ute Quinn of Glendale, SC has passed.
A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of her story.
Memory has a way of softening time.
Ute Quinn the loving wife of the late James C Quinn passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Upstate Community Hospice after a short illness. In addition to her late husband, Ute was preceded in death by her parents: Otto Roewer and Bertha Dackert Roewer. She was born in Neustrelitz, Germany, but lived in the United States for most of her life. She was a retired payroll supervisor with Stone Mountain Memorial Association. She and James enjoyed traveling in their motor home. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and watching television. She would often find relaxation in playing solitaire on her computer. She loved her cats and treated them like they were her children. She was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her.She is survived by a dear friend of many years: Elaine Thompson; and many friends and neighbors that were like family to her.It was Ute’s wish that she would be cremated and placed by her late husband, James, to spend eternity. The arrangements are trusted to the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
