Will David Rushton, 61, passed away on May 2, 2026 in Dallas.David was born November 18,1964 in Stonewall, LA; son of James Rushton and Annis Jeanette (George) Rushton.David was a jack of all trades, with a strong work ethic. From retail stores to food trucks, he was an entrepreneur at heart. He had an inherent love for the outdoors and horses. Over the years, he and Marti touched countless lives, both adults and children, through all of the ranches that they owned, and the races and shows they put on. In his later life he specialized in preparing the ground for TWP Barrel Racing and other equine events. He did TWP Arena Grooming all over Wyoming and Colorado. He was also an amazing Barrel Racer announcer, one that gives you chills and makes every second bigger than life.Of all of the things that he enjoyed in life, his heart was his wife, Marti and his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure that the needs of his family were met. In Marti’s words, “he made every dream I ever had come true.”Survivors include his wife, Marti Rushton; Meagan Sumner (Branden); grandchildren, Ayden Sumner, Mason Sumner, and Adyson Sumner; parents, James and Jeanette Rushton; brother, Leroy Rushton; sisters, Tammy Opbroek, and Jodie Rushton Stump; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
