Patricia Ann Monette-Luca of Waterford, MI, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Patricia (Patty) Ann Monette-Luca
April 17, 1950 - May 4, 2026; Passed peacefully with loved ones beside her. Patty grew up in Redford MI, and attended Redford Union High School. Patty loved spending time with her best friend Colette Beausoleil. Colette and Patty went to little red school house on Beech Daly in preschool and then again and at age 10 they moved next door to each other and stayed best friends for life. Patty liked doing things like shopping, arts and crafts, painting and decorating. Patty would paint furniture and designed and painted bird baths in her later years. Patty loved Motown Music and Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Dionne Warwick, Rare Earth, and the Beatles. She worked for Damone Andrew and First Industrial Realty as a Secretary for many years where she met her beloved Husband, Salvatore "Sonny" Luca with whom she wed on April 24, 1982. They moved to Harsen's Island, MI where they had two children, Matthew, and Marie. She was a stay-at-home mom for a while living in West Bloomfield, MI on Walnut Lake. Patty always loved the beach and lake, she was happiest living the lake life. She enjoyed trips up north to Bellaire, MI on Intermediate Lake with her family where she visited her parents, and collected stones and shells on the Beach with her mom, Cousin Laurie, daughter Marie, son Matt and Aunt MaryAnn. She enjoyed vacationing to Daytona, FL as well on the Atlantic Ocean. She would later work at the Franklin Athletic Club and for Meijer, and took care of her husband for many years in Waterford, MI where she retired. Patty loved being outdoors, and watching sports games like the Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. She was close with her brothers, Lanny and Ray. Patty always kept in touch with family, and cared deeply from the heart about them. She is predeceased by her husband, Salvatore (Sonny) Anthony Luca, brothers, Raymond & Lanny Monette, nephew Michael Monette, niece Dawn Monette, and her parents, Geraldine and Ernest Monette. She is survived by her children, Matthew David Luca, Marie (Rick) Claire Luca-Adkins, granddaughter, Aubrey Chanel Adkins, best friend, Colette Beausoleil, and cousins, nieces, and nephews. Patty was beautiful. The Monette-Luca family will receive guests on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford.
