CARBONVILLE - Bonnie Jo (Beeson) Melo passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2026.
She was born in Moab, Utah on June 3, 1954, to J.C. Beeson and OraLynn Moore.
Bonnie was raised in and around the Moab area. As a kid, she loved looking for rocks and arrowheads with her grandparents, aunts, and uncles and riding around with Grandpa Moore in his dump truck.
On June 24, 1978 she married Angelo P. Melo of Spring Glen, Utah. Together they had two daughters. She enjoyed family reunions, making quilts, crafting, and boating. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids and they loved hanging out and spending time with their "Cracker".
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Angelo; her daughters, Kirsten (Jeremiah) Avery of Green River, Wyoming and Callie Melo of Spring Glen, Utah; along with her grandchildren, Harlie Jo "Scooter" (Danielle) Melo, Courtlyn (Dayton) Avery, Cabren Craig, Terryn Avery, Johnny Craig, Sabre Craig, Gatlin Melo; brothers, Dee (Dorella) Beeson, Palmer, AK, Colby Means, Moab, UT; and sisters, Jacque Rodel, Wellington, UT, and Stacey (Kevin) Means La Sal, Utah; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
She was preceded in death by many loving grandparents, her parents, OraLynn Means and J.C. Beeson; brother, Guy Beeson; and her son, Guy Russell.
Funeral service, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main St.) in Price where the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price.
