Brendan Joseph McLaren, 39, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, as the result of an automobile accident.

Brendan was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois on February 5, 1987, to Bernard and Rebecca (Lund) McLaren. He had a passion for sports, hunting, fishing and playing golf.

Surviving are his father, Bernard (Lorri) McLaren; stepfather, Barry Brooks; siblings, Lucas, Jonathan, and Alyssa McLaren; stepbrother, Barry (Angela) Brooks; grandfather, James Lund; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brendan was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca McLaren-Brooks; sister, Katlyn McLaren; brother, Michael McLaren; grandparents, Carole Lund, Marvin and Eleanor McLaren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial for Brendan will take place at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, Illinois on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Interment private.

To honor Brendan, the family invites everyone to wear sports-related attire. He was a devoted fan of the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks, and also loved many teams from Michigan.
