With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Brian James Gilmore of Colville, WA.
Here is what mattered, in the years between the dates.
The years gathered, as years do, into a life.
In Loving MemoryBrian James Gilmore Mr. Brian James Gilmore, age 74, passed away April 3, 2026 in Loon Lake, Washington. Brian was born March 4, 1952 in Tacoma, Washington to Glen and Helen Gilmore. Brian was a very smart man – a jack of all trades. He was handy. Brian could build and make just about anything. Together with his wife, Lori, they built their cabin at Loon Lake. Through the process, he became an accomplished tile installer. His handy skills were not limited to construction work. Brian was quite good with cars as well. He even did yard work! Brian was a 24 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. His sobriety was something he considered a gift. Over the years he and Lori would attend various conventions and meetings together. The couple loved to travel. They spent time on the Oregon coast at Seaside and Westport – clam digging and camping. They traveled to Mexico and Thailand. But, their favorite place was the cabin at Deer Lake. It was a place of peace for them. He loved boating on Deer Lake. Brian loved his pets – Tina – his Pomeranian. Tina went everywhere with him. She did NOT like being left behind. Other favorites were his Rottweiler, Rex and Levi his Rottweiler/Lab mix. Brian is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Helen Gilmore. He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter Yvonne Russell and family of the greater Seattle area; brothers Tim, Kevin, and Sean all of the greater Seattle area as well. No services are planned at this time. Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
