Cory held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

What Cory believed shaped how he loved.

Cory Lee Lilleodden passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2026. He was 57.Cory was born May 3, 1968 in New Ulm, MN to parents, Orvis and Bernice Lilleodden. He grew up on the family farm near Hanska, MN; graduated from New Ulm High School in 1986 and went to Mankato Technical College until 1988.Cory worked for August Shell’s Brewing Company from 1993 to 1998, then went to work for Americold until 2025.  He married Christine Brovitch in 2003 and they shared 26 years together, 23 years married. Cory was a devoted husband, loving father to two sons, and an amazing brother.  He was a big Minnesota sports fan, SKOL VIKINGS! He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and traveling. Cory could often be heard joking or whistling, and he mostly cherished the time spent with his wife and boys.He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Lilleodden of Park Rapids; sons, Bryce (Celeste) Brovitch of Austin, TX, and Zachery Lilleodden of Minneapolis; sister, Dawn (Lloyd) Trullinger; brothers Lu (Kim) Lilleodden and Orlin Lilleodden all of New Ulm; brother-in-law, Brian Flynn of AZ; mother-in-law, Carole (Ron) Brovitch-Kropp; sister-in-law, Candice (Darrell) Payne all from Park Rapids and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents, Cory is preceded in death by his sister, Denise Flynn and niece, Andrea Flynn.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 1 PM at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. Visitation will be from 12 to 1PM. Burial will take place at a later date.Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids, is interested with arrangements.
