With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Deborah Noe of Kingsport, TN.
These few paragraphs cannot hold a life, but they may carry a memory.
Deborah held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
A life of belief is a life of quiet conversation with something larger.
Deborah "Debbie" Noe, 74, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully after struggling with heart and kidney failure. Family and friends were able to visit, and their goodbyes a day before her passing at Holston Valley Hospital on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Debbie was born in Kingsport, TN, to Claude and Jane Lockhart. As a child, she spent time in Florida and North Carolina, but from high school and after, called Tri-Cities her home. Debbie graduated from Sullivan Central High School in 1970. Debbie spent most of her career at Eastman Chemical in Kingsport before retiring.
Debbie married Charles Larry Nelson in 1974 and had one son, Dustin Nelson. Debbie remarried in 1990 to Bill Noe and the two enjoyed 35 years together!
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Claude and Jane Lockhart.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband Bill Noe, Son, Dustin Nelson and wife Rebecca, and Step-Daughter Tracy Noe, Grandchildren Dylan, Oliver, Felix, and Zeke Nelson, and Megan and Morgan Haynes, Great Grandchild Bentley Noe, and brother Mark Lockhart
Debbie loved spending time with her family, traveling, shopping and eating lunches with her long-time friends, supporting her grandchildren playing sports, and serving in her church.
The family celebrates that Debbie's faith in Jesus Christ is now sight. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM at East Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Deborah's memory to Summerville Baptist Church.
Although Debbie will be deeply missed, we celebrate that she is now forever worshiping King Jesus!
