With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Delena Nella "Granny" Borrowman of Borger, TX.

These few paragraphs cannot hold a life, but they may carry a memory.

Quiet kindness echoes longest.

Delena Nella "Granny" Borrowman, 67 years full of spunk and joy, of Borger, Texas, peacefully left her earthly body to receive a beautiful new Heavenly vessel on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born the first New Year's baby in Pike County in 1959 on January 1st to proud parents, James and Sandra Charlton in Louisiana, Missouri.

Delena spent her childhood moving frequently due to her father's work, attending schools in Missouri and Illinois. She developed a passion for singing at an early age, writing her own songs and performing with her father and uncle. Later in life, Delena passed this love of music on to her grandchildren, teaching them jingles and singing together in various styles-a testament to her enduring enthusiasm for music.

She loved to travel and was a collector of ALL things, so she inevitably had to pick up some little trinket from everywhere she went to "collect". Delena had a tender servant's heart and tried to help anyone who needed it if she was able. Just as the Bible states, she put God above everyone and everything else and she loved nothing more than to hear about Jesus! She loved to attend church and have fellowship with other believers and to feel the Holy Spirit fill the room. She also had faith like no other. She completely believed in being healed and in God's mighty work. She even died for 10 minutes in February and was brought back with no damage or residual effects at all!

God always came first for her, but family was right behind. Delena was devoted to her loved ones-almost always seen with a baby in her arms. Her deep affection for children matched her vibrant personality; she was outgoing and enjoyed being surrounded by relatives. If you were welcomed into her family, you quickly became one of her own. Most only knew her as Aunt Dena or Granny, never even knowing her actual name because she took to those roles with such ease.

She was anxiously awaited at Heaven's pearly gates for her arrival by her parents, James and Sandra; her husband, John Borrowman; her daughter, Dana Charlton-Meyer; a son, Russell Hampton; brother, Danny Charlton; a sister, Sara Charlton and several grandchildren, a twin, Jamie Ruble, twins, Brandon and Nathaniel Lorenz, Peanut Keys and Baby Keys.

She leaves to remember her passionate love for Christ and deep love for her family, a stepdad, Elmo Dusenberry of Borger; two sons, Billy Pruett and wife Sherre of Magnolia, TX, Mike Meyers of Fritch; a daughter, Amanda Keys and husband Curtis Keys of Pampa; four brothers, Jim Charlton of Lubbock, Sam Charlton and wife Stacy of Borger, Andy Charlton and wife Susie of Fritch, Joshua Dusenberry and wife Terri of Fritch; three sisters, Christy Charlton of Borger, Trisha Charlton of Pampa, Elizabeth Charlton of Fritch; grandchildren, Kaleb, Heaven, Micayla, Jordan, Cameron, Brianna, Jacob, Haley, Gavin, Patience, Emily, Curtis, Roscoe, Matthew, Dustin and Breana, 13 great-grandchildren and many more that she has "taken in" over the years as hers as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved very dearly.

Should donations or memorials be a preference, the family suggests they be made to Pampa Meals On Wheels, Inc, 302 E. Foster Ave, Pampa, TX 79065 in honor of Delena.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Eternal Light Pentecostal Church, 822 Weatherly Street, Borger, TX, with Pastor Willie Adams officiating. The family has entrusted Winegeart Funeral Home with the cremation care of their loved one.
