Esteban Aguilar, 79 of King City, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026. He was born November 28, 1946 in Rio Hondo, Texas. He came to California at the age of 15. He has lived in King City and surrounding area for 60 years.Esteban has been working in agriculture for many years. His employments include, Almaden Vineyards, John Gill Ranch (Trucker), Fogler Brothers Trucking, West Side Transport WTI (Gilroy), Meyers Tomato (King City), last but not least, he started his own lawn maintenance company Named it: Steven’s Landscaping for 20 years.His attended grade school in Mexico. He studied and learned English at Hartnell College. His hobbies and interests that he enjoyed were, playing the accordion at family gatherings, working in his yard, going to the casino, playing Loteria. He loved cooking, especially his home made salsa. Loved to talk about his childhood to grandkids and great grandkids on how he came to California at the age of 15, telling jokes and reciting his favorite phrases “Early bird catches the worm” and “Birds of a feather flock together”. He was a member for Templo de Alabanza Ebenezer since 1995He has 1 daughter; Juanita and her husband, Jesus Lopez; 2 sons, Esteban Jr. and his wife Roxanna, and Jose Luis; 4 grandchildren, Elissa, Jesus Jr., Anthony, and Breanna; 6 great grandchildren, Benjamin Jr., Emmarie, Adeleen, Isiaha, Josiaha, and Eliana Gracie.Esteban is preceded in death by his wife, Graciela Aguilar, March 31, 2025; parents, Manuel and Juanita Aguilar of Tamualipas, Mexico; 6 brothers, Francisco, Ascension, Guadalupe, Isidro, Jose and Florentino Aguilar; 3 sisters, Concha, Paula and Zenaida Aguilar. Esteban is the last sibling of the Aguilar family.SERVICES:A Viewing will be held, starting at 5pm, Thursday, May 7th at Templo de Alabanza Ebenezer, 531 N. Vanderhurst, King City. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at Templo de Alabanza Ebenezer, 531 N. Vanderhurst, King City.
