With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Evangeline M. Chase of Clarkston, MI.

These are the contours of a life that meant a great deal to many.

Evangeline spent her working life as ['Harvey Accounting and in her spare time enjoyed working in her rock garden'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

What was given remains, even when the giver is gone.

CHASE, EVANGELINE M. of Waterford; May 5, 2026; age 92; Loving wife of the late Robert Chase; Cherished mother of Lars Chase, Wylie (Wendy) Chase and Seth (Leslie) Chase; Beloved grandmother of Anderson and Julia; Dear sister of the late David (Sylvia) Newcomb and aunt of Jill and Valerie. Mrs. Chase attended Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian. She was a member of AAUW and many other social organizations including the Golden Agers. Mrs. Chase worked for Harvey Accounting and in her spare time enjoyed working in her rock garden. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
