Frances held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
What Frances believed shaped how she loved.
Frances Godsey, 89, widow of Roy Lee Godsey, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at her home in Nada, KY. She was born Saturday, August 1, 1936 in Slade, KY to the late George Henry King and the late Laura Ann Helton Rogers. Survivors include: son Roy Dale (Pat) Godsey; daughter Lisa Carol Campbell; grandchildren Melissa Shoemaker, Angel Laci Robinson, Cody (Brittany) Campbell; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: father George Henry King; mother Laura Ann Rogers; husband Roy Lee Godsey; brothers Ernest William King, Jim Mays, & Vernon King; sisters Gladys Watkins, Pauline Elliott, Lorene Pelfrey, & Bonnie May King; and granddaughter Amber Laura Campbell. Her family will remember her with an extended vistiation on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Nada Baptist Church, beginning at noon and lasting until 9:00PM. All friends and family are welcome. A potluck meal will be served during the visitation at 5:00PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish.
