With heavy hearts, we share the passing of George "Butch" Kelley of Moon Township, PA.
Some stories deserve to be told slowly. This is one of them.
What is given freely returns in ways we cannot measure.
George "Butch" Kelley, age 80, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
Born on June 26, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George and Doris (Petrie) Kelley. Butch was the beloved husband of the late Karen D. (Read) Kelley; loving father of Corey (Gwen) Kelley, Robin (Marshall) Bruce, Missy Young, and Bobbie Jo (Kris) Boyle; cherished brother of Lauren Coyle and Bill Kelley, and the late Kay Braisted and Carol Thomas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Butch had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was an avid sports fan who enthusiastically supported local and college teams, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. He was also the longtime owner of the Corner Table Restaurant in Robinson Township, where he built lasting relationships within the community.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. Interment will take place at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kennedy Township, Pennsylvania.
A luncheon will follow the service and all are welcome to attend at American Legion Post #862, 2275 McKees Rocks Rd, Robinson Township, PA 15136. The family invites everyone to join them in sharing memories and celebrating Butch's life.
Butch will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
