With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Heather Faye McCarver of Mayfield, KY.
A life remembered begins, simply, with the telling.
Heather held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
What Heather believed shaped how she loved.
Heather Faye (Hutson) McCarver, 48, of Mayfield, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at
the Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Born August 17, 1977, in Murray, Kentucky, Heather was the daughter of Joe Pat Hutson
and Linda (Hill) Hutson. She was a proud graduate of Calloway County High School and
Ezell's Cosmetology School. After spending many years as a talented cosmetologist and
nail technician, Heather recently followed her passion for helping others by beginning a
new career as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D). She worked with Bloom
Behavior Therapy in the Paducah and Reidland area as a Certified Applied Behavior
Analysis teacher, where she lovingly provided therapy and support to children with autism
and other developmental disabilities. Her compassionate spirit and caring heart will have a
lasting impact on the lives of the children she served. Heather was also a faithful member
of First Baptist Church of Mayfield.
In addition to her parents, Joe Pat and Linda Hutson of Murray, Heather leaves behind her
devoted husband, Shane McCarver; her children, who were truly the center of her world,
Emerson Rane Grogan of Murray and Micah Shane McCarver of Mayfield; her sister, Celina
Ruth Hutson of Murray; her in-laws, Richard and Shelby McCarver; and her loyal retriever,
Bud David. Heather will also be deeply missed by countless friends and loved ones who
will forever remember her warm heart, kind spirit, and ever-present smile.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Garlon (Uncle Willie) and Iuta (Aunt
Willie) Hutson and Ben and Ruth Hill.
A service to celebrate Heather's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at
First Baptist Church, 118 W. South St., Mayfield, KY 42066, with Rev. Paul Wilkerson
officiating.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
