Janice F. Darr, 86, formerly of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026, at Corewell Lakeland Hospital in Saint Joseph, Michigan.
Born on September 5, 1939, in Independence, Missouri, Janice was the daughter of Clarence and Anna Gregg. She shared a remarkable life with her beloved husband, Donald J. Darr, whom she married on July 29, 1961. During their marriage, they shared love, dedication, and many memories.
She had a passion for antiquing and could often be found searching for that one special treasure, always with an eye for beauty and history. She was also a talented and creative spirit who loved tole painting, expressing herself through her art and the pieces she lovingly created. She loved beautiful clothes and jewelry.
Janice cherished her family. She will be remembered for her strength, creativity, and the love she gave to those around her.
She is survived by her children, Kirk Darr and Kristy Fedore; grandson, Nickolas (Kara) Fedore; step-grandchildren, Travis Fedore, Justin (April) Fedore, Brett Fedore, and Tania (Travis) Meyers; great-grandson, Noah Fedore, who brought her much joy; niece, Kathy (David) Grubbs; and nephew, John (Amy) Milburn.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; and her sister, Rita "Charline" Milburn.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A service to celebrate Janice's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 12, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, where friends may visit with his family from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac.
