With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Lee J. Sherry of Lake Zurich, IL.

Some stories deserve to be told slowly. This is one of them.

What Lee gave his children, they will give to theirs.

A Memorial Visitation for Lee J. Sherry, 55, of Lake Zurich, will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.Lee passed away suddenly at home due to illness on Saturday, May 2, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1970, in Chicago, to the late Richard and Carol Sherry where he grew up on the northwest side.He was a devoted businessman that created (Battalion Fire Safety Services) from the ground up. He was known as the “Boss man” that everyone loved. He loved going on vacations and making memories with his family. Spending time with his wife, kids, and dogs. Loved his music and was a huge Chicago sports fan, was dedicated to the Cubs and Bears. He was the type of guy to give his shirt off his back and would always help anyone who needed it. He would drop anything to be there and make you feel important. He LOVED to joke around, always had something to say. He always had a way of making someone smile or laugh. He loved his wife dearly, his “beautiful” as he would call her. He was crazy about and so proud of his two children, Richard and Isabella. Whatever they needed he would provide and always tried to teach them to be ready for the future. All in all, he was an AMAZING husband, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all.Lee was the beloved husband of Heather Sherry for 13 years; loving father of Rich Sherry and Isabella Sherry; dear brother of Barbara Hernandez; fond uncle of Elizabeth Hernandez; nephew of William (Judy) Sherry. He is also survived by his cousins.Thank you to all the family and friends who have helped us get through this tragedy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
