Linda Irene (Triebel) Fottral, 74 of Hiawatha, IA passed away on April 23, 2026 after a short illness at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. A graveside service for family & friends will be Wednesday April 29, 2026, at Garden of the Cross, Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA at 1:00pm. The reception will be at the Cedar Memorial Family Center & Library at 1:30pm.
Linda was born to Louis & Rozella (Kading) Triebel on April 21, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was united in marriage on November 28, 1970 to James Fottral at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Linda graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson, class of 1970. Linda loved reading, crocheting & knitting. She enjoyed special lunches with friends and watching her granddaughters in all of their activities.
Linda is survived by her husband Jim; children Amy (Steve) Neighbor and Ryan (Gretchen) Fottral. She has 6 granddaughters, Callie (Aaron) Swieter, Chloe (Cameron) Hasleiet, Claire Neighbor, Lilly, Sofia, & Samantha Fottral. 2 great granddaughters, Mylee & Avery Swieter; Brother-in-law, Jerry (Kazumi) Fottral: Sister-in-law Kathy Glime, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in laws, Gerald & Dorothy Fottral – Fisher and Edwin Fisher, and Brother-in-law Duane Glime.
Memorials may be made to the family.
