With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Lois Ruth Creel of Sheridan, WY.

Lois spent her working life as ['the Airforce and later the oilfields'] and held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
What Lois believed shaped how she loved.
Lois Ruth Creel, 89, of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Westview Health Care Center, in the presence of her loving family.
Lois was born 7/22/1936 in rural Marlow, Oklahoma to Orville and Ollie Scott, a graduate of the Bray school district. Lois, a homemaker, spent her life following her husband's career in the Airforce and later the oilfields. Moving eight times across Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas and Utah. She busied herself raising 4 children, enjoying her 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Creel, eldest daughter Janet Beckwith, brother Darrel Scott, son in-law Don Cannon and grandson Cory Cannon.
Lois is survived by daughter Pam Cannon of Vernal, Utah, son Jeff and wife Gerri Creel of Elk City, Oklahoma, son Greg and wife Donna Creel of Sheridan, Wyoming, brother Jim Scott of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services in Honor of Lois will be held at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Duncan, Oklahoma on Monday, June 8th , 2026.
