A life of belief is a life of quiet conversation with something larger.
Matthew Paul “Fuzzy” Baca passed away peacefully in Aurora, CO, on April 15, 2026 at the age of 66 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Rocky Ford, CO, on January 1, 1960, to Fernando & Geraldine Baca. Matthew was one of nine siblings.He spent his life creating lasting memories fishing, hunting, and camping with friends and family. A man of many talents, he enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycles, and was a gifted musician and craftsman. He loved playing his guitars – even carving his own from scratch, a project he was incredibly proud of. He always had a witty joke to make you smile. He was known above all as a devoted friend and family man.Matthew is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita; his three children Yolanda (Arturo), Monica, and Paul; his two grandchildren, Anastasia and Heliodoro; his siblings, Shirley and Tom; and his mother, Geraldine (Geri).Funeral services will be May 15th, 2026, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church located at 355 S Navajo St, Denver at 10:00am. Internment will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W. Kenyon Ave.) at 12:30pm sharp, attendees must be at staging area by 12:15pm. A gathering will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall (The Hayloft) 2950 W. Mississippi Ave.
