Funeral services for Michael Anthony Battle, Sr., age 74, who died on Friday, April 24, 2026, will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 12:00noon from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville, NC with Rev. Keisha Spivey officiating.

He is survived by two daughters, Rev. Keisha Spivey (Eric) of Rocky Mt., NC, Jamica Battle of Hillsborough, NC, two sons, Michael Anthony Battle, Jr. (Laisha) of Rocky Mt., NC and Christopher Watson of Nashville, NC, one sister, Maxine Thornton (James) of Atlanta, GA, three brothers, Oscar Battle (Claudette) of Durham, NC, Harold Battle of Rocky Mt., NC and Mitchel Battle of Kingsport, TN; eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchild.

There will be a viewing Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 11:00a.m. until 12:00p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Nashville, NC.

Richardson Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
