With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Nora J. "Sally" Cook of Fulton, NY.

Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.

What is taught through a parent's example outlasts what is taught through their words.

Nora J. "Sally" Cook, 89; of Fulton passed peacefully on Saturday, April 25 th, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones at Oswego Hospital.

Nora, better known as "Sally," was born in Fulton, NY to the late Timothy and Thelma (Presley) Kimball. She has been a lifetime resident of both Oswego and Fulton, NY. Sally's past employment includes working at the Candle Factory, Syracuse, NY and Birds Eye, Fulton, and as a Home Health Aide. She was a social butterfly who loved making memories with her family and friends, playing cards, watching her favorite TV shows/movies, birdwatching, and spending time with her beloved pets. Sally looked forward to her daily lunch and shopping date with her husband at local restaurants and Walmart. She loved baking and sharing her cookies with people she cared about. Sally especially enjoyed surprising the staff at her chemo-treatments with "snacks" to brighten their day. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she looked forward to hosting her party every year, transforming her front yard and entire home with spooky decorations. She invited everyone she knew-the more, the merrier-to join in the festivities, enjoy a warm bowl of stew or chili, and leave with a giant bag of goodies.

Sally was predeceased by her son Timothy Boardway and her seven siblings: Edith Searor, Frances Sekula, Mervin Kimball, Hosey Kimball, Jacky Kimball, Theodore Kimball and Scott Kimball. Sally will be dearly missed by her husband of 48 years: Robert Cook of Fulton, four children: Barbara (Frank) DiGiulio of FL, Jo Ann (Craig Stevens) Merritt of Fulton, Laurence Boardway of Fulton and Ronald Boardway of Fulton. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Brian (Lisa Cashel) Merritt, Alecia Merritt, Shawn Bartlett, Angie (Robert) Mortimer, Mercedes (Betoldo) Vargas, Jennifer (Jose) Herrera and Ronnie Boardway; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no Funeral Service or Calling Hours. Burial will be held privately.

The Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2 nd St. S., Fulton, NY has care of the arrangements.
