Patsy was a woman who could carry herself with grace and still feel right at home anywhere; from a church pew to a camping chair holding a fishing pole.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Patsy Lee Hefner of Fritch, TX.

Here is what mattered, in the years between the dates.

Patsy spent her working life as ['Ronco Construction and Dr', 'cosmetologist'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The years gathered, as years do, into a life.

Patsy Lee Hefner, 79, of Amarillo, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. A celebration of her life will follow at 2 p.m. at Celebration Family Church, Fritch, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Fritch.Patsy was born November 1, 1946, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Dossie Floyd and Arlene Brooks Floyd. She married Jerry Hefner on December 2, 1966, in Borger, and since that day, they created a life that was an adventure, strong and full of love. She was his partner in every sense of the word; his strongest supporter, his voice when he needed one, and, if we’re being honest, the one who kept him headed in the right direction. And he adored her just as intensely.Patsy was a woman who could carry herself with grace and still feel right at home anywhere; from a church pew to a camping chair holding a fishing pole. She loved to shop, and she didn’t just like a little sparkle, she believed in it. If it shimmered, shined, or caught the light, it probably belonged to Patsy. It just fit her. She possessed a knack for bringing a little brightness with her wherever she went. She began her career as a cosmetologist, owning and operating the Fritch Beauty Shop, where she made people feel just as good as they looked. She later worked for Ronco Construction and Dr. Sampat before finding her place at the Hutchinson County Clerk’s Office. That office grew into more than a job. It became a place where people knew her, trusted her, and felt taken care of.But if you asked Patsy what mattered most, she would say her family. She was a devoted wife, but she was also a mama through and through, the kind who showed up, stood firm, and didn’t hesitate to speak up when it came to her kids. She loved them deeply, protected them fiercely, and expected the best from them. And when the grandchildren came along, she found a whole new kind of joy. Being called “Nana” was her favorite title, hands down. That’s where her heart lived.Patsy also had a servant’s heart that showed up quietly but consistently. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She didn’t just deliver meals. She also delivered kindness, conversation, and care to people who needed it. She didn’t do it for recognition. She did it because it was simply who she was. There to greet her at heaven’s gates were her parents, Dossie and Arlene Floyd.Remembering her forever are her husband, Jerry Hefner of Amarillo; son, Kris Hefner and wife M’Lyn of Lubbock; daughter, Natalie Brannon and husband Paul of Amarillo; grandchildren, Reed Brannon and wife Jayci, Holden Hefner,Hudson Hefner, Macy McCaslin and husband Darren, and Deiter Brannon and wife Taylor; great-grandchildren, Bryar, Gracelyn, and Declan; her beloved canine companion, Finley; and a host of friends who were lucky enough to know her.Patsy leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind a way of loving your people, standing by your spouse, showing up when it matters, and adding just a little bit of sparkle to the everyday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fritch Meals on Wheels at PO Box 366, Fritch, Texas 79036, or Gracie’s Project, 4515 S Georgia St, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
