Rella J. Jones Gullett, 87, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.Mrs. Gullett was born on April 10, 1939, in Pikeville, KY, to the late Hatler and Mae Adkins Jones.In addition to her parents, Rella was preceded in death by a daughter, Dayle Brown, her brother, Tony Jones, and a sister, Ann Mullins.Mrs. Gullett was a homemaker with a green thumb who enjoyed anything outdoors. She volunteered at the election polls and joined her husband in volunteering at several state park campgrounds. She was a 1958 graduate of Virgie High School and attended Hoods Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Ashland, KY, and Shawnee Church of God in Flatwoods, KY. She was a great mother and was loved by everyone. She will be deeply missed.Rella is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Lloyd Gullett of Flatwoods, KY; a daughter, Renina (Edward) Fuller of Palm Coast, FL; a son-in-law, Roy Brown of Palm Coast, FL; four grandchildren: Adam Meredith, Brandon Meredith, Andy Craig, and Rachel Craig; a sister Rose Mullins of Flatwoods, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.A graveside service will be held tomorrow at noon at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.The family had entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.Condolences can be expressed at www.baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com.
