With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Sean Marquas Anthony Forrest of Wolf Point, MT.

A life remembered begins, simply, with the telling.

Sean spent his working life as ['the FPCC Wolf Point campus for his summer youth job'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Time has its way of binding people together.

Sean Marquas Anthony Forrest “Ta Ot’i HoTaga” started his journey on April 26th, 2026 at the age of 18. He was born on July 6th, 2007 in Glasgow Montana to Erin Follette and Curtis Forrest. From the very beginning he was surrounded by love and formed strong bonds with his grandparents on both sides of the family. The first couple years of his life, he lived between his paternal Grandparents Kathleen Eagle and Loren Forrest, and maternal grandparents Mary and Verle Follette, where he quickly became the pride and joy of both families. After his father finished basic training, Sean briefly lived in Fort Knox Kentucky before moving to Poplar, Montana to be with his mother and maternal grandparents, Verle and Mary Follette. There, too, he was deeply loved and cherished. Sean attended Poplar Schools through the 8th grade, where he began forming the memories and resilience that would define him. Sean had a special connection with his cousin Trent Follette (T-Bob) and Aunt Blake Follette. Growing up close in age, they became like siblings, and Sean liked to joke that he was older than his aunt. While in high school he moved to Wolf Point to live with his dad and step-mom. While in Wolf Point, he would go back and forth from his dads to his aunty Theresa’s house, Theresa had a close bond with her first nephew and considered him her extra son. He knew if he needed anything whether it be advice, support or just an ear to listen, he could call her. Let’s not forget the late-night snack runs with sis and cruises with Trent, whom he had a special bond with and took as siblings. Sean continued his education in Wolf Point and Proudly graduated Class of 2025. But before that, he achieved many goals, formed lasting friendships, created a lot of lasting memories with them and truly came into his own. Though he could be quiet and reserved at first, his warm smile quickly broke the ice and drew people in. He was a proud member of the NDO Youth council while in High school where he received many certificates in leadership trainings, assisted with horsemanship clinics & traveled all over the United States for Youth Unity Conferences. Sean also spent time at the Blue Earth Boxing Club, Worked for the FPCC Wolf Point campus for his summer youth job. He was crowned homecoming king and found his love for fishing. During his senior year Sean also attended CNA training at NEMHS which he really enjoyed and was known for his gentle nature and kind heart. Sean had a deep love for life & the people around him. On the football field Sean was one of the biggest guys out there, but he was the gentle giant. If you are here, you know Sean didn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, but he loved being on the team and gave it his all in everything he did – whether it was traveling to play other teams, joking with his teammates, sharing laughs on the long bus rides. Off the field you could find him playing on the XBOX with his cousins & friends, fishing, cruising around, group video chats for hours or working out. Sean found joy in simple moments & shared them with those he cared about. He was the kind of young adult who would write a thank you letter to the photographer after his football photos. He loved all his siblings and was proud to be the big brother of them. He loved the friendships he made and didn’t have one specific group of friends; he was everyone’s friend and them his as well.Above all, Sean loved life and had big dreams for the future, he had just been accepted into MSU Billings and recently decided he was going to enlist in the Army. He has left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him and will be remembered for his smile, his laugh, his warm quiet strength and the love he gave so freely to everyone he met.Preceded by: Aunt Sierra Follette, Grandparents Kathleen Eagle and Verle Follette, Great Grandparents May White Hawk, Henry Buck Elk, Geraldine Eder, Carmelita Lambert, Bedford Patrick Forrest Jr., Darrell Follette.
