With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Tommiel Turner of Pueblo, CO.

Some stories deserve to be told slowly. This is one of them.

What Tommiel gave his children, they will give to theirs.

Tommiel Turner, 89, peacefully passed away on May 4, 2026. He was born on July 3, 1936, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to DeWitt Turner and Adell Henson-Turner, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved siblings, Carrie Turner, EllaReen Tillman, and Lorriene McCall.

In 1988, Tommiel dedicated his life to Jehovah by being baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and he remained faithful in his service until his passing.

Tommiel found great joy in the simple beauties of life. He loved fishing the quiet streams and ponds of Colorado, where he felt at peace. His love for animals was deep and enduring, especially for horses. He had a natural gift for training them and shared a unique and gentle bond with each one.

Above all else, Tommiel's heart belonged to his family. They were his greatest pride and his deepest joy. He treasured every moment spent with them; sharing stories, offering wisdom, and surrounding them with love that will continue to live on in each of their hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Margie Turner; his children, Sabrina (Carlton) Mathis, Loren (Natasha) Turner, Malix (Gayann) Turner, Landix (Esther) Turner, Rodney (Chandra) Turner, Stephanie Turner, and Chad (Maria) Turner ; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Though he is no longer with us, Tommiel's love, faith, and gentle spirit will forever remain a guiding light to all who knew and loved him.
