Robert E. Knight, 68, of Clarks Green, PA, formerly of Tahoe, California and Windsor, NJ, passed away on Sunday after a short illness.As a registered nurse of 36 years, he fulfilled his passion for helping people. He was nominated for and won the National Nurse Hero Award.He was a skilled guitar player and singer, life-long ski-racer, scuba diver, and fan of the San Francisco 49ers.Son of the late Virginia Hill Rexrode, he is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Laura (Weinstein) Knight. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Benjamin Knight and spouse Zabeth Keith, Zachary Knight and wife Victoria, brothers Bill Knight and wife Debra, Rick Knight and wife Sheila, and Ron Knight and wife Karen.A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, 12-2 PM in the Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home, 602 Birch Street, Scranton, PA 18505.In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or perform acts of kindness.
