Robert F. Rivett of Southbridge, MA, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.
These few paragraphs cannot hold a life, but they may carry a memory.
Quiet kindness echoes longest.
Charlton: Robert F. "Bob" Rivett, 64, of Richardson Corner Rd., passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2nd, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his beloved wife of 43 years, Lisa A. (Derderian) Rivett; his son, David F. Rivett and his wife Erin of Warren; a daughter, Jamielee M. Daoust and her husband Kenneth of Warren; a brother, Dennis P. Rivett of Southbridge; his two sisters, MaryJane Daoust of Charlton and Sharon Racki of Southbridge; his five cherished grandchildren, Matthew Oldenburg, Jayden Rivett, Andrew Rivett, Tyler Daoust, Kaylie Daoust; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by two brothers, William "Billy" Rivett and Ronald Rivett.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Dennis P. and Isabelle F. (Despin) Rivett. He worked as a commercial oil truck driver for more than 30 years for Al's Oil company in Shrewsbury. Bob was a true outdoorsman who loved being out in nature. He enjoyed painting in his favorite "Bill Alexander" artist's style. Bob's true love was his wife Lisa and family, especially his five grandchildren who adored him.
Calling hours for Bob will be held on Saturday, May 9th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a service in the funeral home at 4:00pm. A Celebration of Life to immediately follow the service at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #334, 59 Mill St., Southbridge, MA.
Burial will be private at a later date.
