Roberta Lynne Garcia of Humble, TX 77338, TX, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

What you read below is one part of a life lived with quiet purpose.

A name is a small thing to hold a whole life.

Roberta Lynne Garcia, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on 04/26/2026 at the age of 72. She would be very upset knowing her real age was included. She was known for her humor and for the love she shared so freely with the people around her.

Born on 05/16/1953 in Los Angeles County, Roberta was the daughter of Milton and Ruth Schoeneck.

Roberta spent most of her younger life living in California, where she would hang out on Sunset Boulevard. She would eventually get married and have two daughters, Jenica and Jamie Gonzalez. Later, she would find a new chapter in her life when she remarried Alfonso Garcia.

Roberta met Alfonso while she was working as a secretary and he was applying for a job. His tie was a mess, and she helped him fix it. That simple act would lead to 37 years of marriage. They would later go on to have two sons, Joseph and Adam Garcia.

Roberta had a deep love for dogs. She would always tell the story of how, when she was a little girl, she dreamed that when she grew up, she would have as many dogs as possible. She truly lived that childhood dream. She loved every dog she had, and every dog loved her back just as much. This love for dogs was shared with her husband and passed on to her children. Dogs were her real passion in life and something she will always be remembered for.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Alfonso Garcia; her daughters, Jenica and Jamie Gonzalez; and her sons, Joseph and Adam Garcia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jordan, Zachary, Lauren, Jacob, Madison, and Jude, as well as her six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Ruth Schoeneck, and her sister, Barbara Schoeneck.

We will have a private family ceremony for Roberta, but we encourage you to share your stories and love for her, which would be deeply appreciated.
