Rosalie Anne Ehl of Kalkaska, MI has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.
What follows is a brief look at the life her family wishes to share.
There is no greater gift than the one a parent gives by simply being present.
Rosalie Ehl, 85, of Kalkaska, went to be with her Jesus on April 29th, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1940 in Endicott, New York to Olive (Transue) and Albert Dyson. Rosalie came to Kalkaska in 1976, single with 3 children. She bought a small cabin with no running water, plumbing, insulation, or electricity and worked hard to make it a home. She fell in love and married Terry Ehl, and together they had 2 more children. She was known as a Christian who loved her heavenly Father and spoke of him boldly. Her generosity and servant attitude were obvious to anyone who knew her. She loved to garden, fish, cook and spend time with her friends and family. You would see her often driving around town in her blue PT Cruiser. She is survived by her children: Keven Holland, Gayle (Mike) Anderson, Lynaia (James) Jackson, and Heather Ehl; grandchildren: Daniel (Joanna) Holland, Jacob (Sarah) Martindale, Sarah Martindale, Christopher (Shannon) Tracy, Amy (Christopher) Gorman, Zachary (Adrianne) Brown, Joleanne Jackson, Maria (Brandon) George, Nuno (Emily) Casas, and Jeshua Ehl; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Terry, and beloved son Heath Ehl. She called Spencer Church of Christ her home and loved and was loved by them. Her memorial service will be there on Saturday, May 9, 2026. A family visitation will begin at 9 am, public visitation at 10:00 am and the funeral service at 11:00 am. The church has graciously provided the meat for the luncheon to follow; a dish to pass would be appreciated, but certainly not necessary. Burial will take place at Lodi Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
