Ruth Rall of Milnor, ND, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Here is what mattered, in the years between the dates.

Ruth spent her working life as ['kitchen services at Milnor Public School after many years'] and held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

What is held in faith is rarely lost.

Ruth Anne Rall (Brash), 83, of Milnor, ND passed away peacefully at Parkside Lutheran Home on May 3, 2026.

Ruthie was the daughter of Benjamin and Irma (Thompson) Brash. She was born May 15, 1942 in Oakes, ND and grew up in Cogswell, ND. Ruthie was in the first graduating class of Sargent Central in Forman, ND.

On July 11, 1965, she married Ellery Rall in Cogswell. They lived in Valley Park, MN and raised three children. They moved to Milnor, ND in 1979. Ruthie retired from kitchen services at Milnor Public School after many years. Ruthie and Ellery also owned and operated R&R Ceramics in Milnor for many years. She loved having kids and adults coming in to paint. Ruthie enjoyed doing puzzles. She also loved flowers and always had a variety in her yard during the summer. The United Methodist Church of Milnor was very much a part of her life. She served in many different positions over the years and helped in most fundraising events for the church.

Ruthie is survived by her three children, Karla (Thomas) Lyon of Stirum, ND, Joel (Andrea) Rall of Hope, ND, and Curt Rall of Wahpeton, ND; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother Michael (Tamie) Brash; brothers-in-law, Maynard Rall and Durand Rall; sisters-in-law Carol (Doug) Brash and Lynda Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ellery Rall; grandson Alexander Rall; in-laws John and Martha Rall; brothers Clark Brash and Douglas Brash; sister Audrey Brash; brother-in-law DeForest Rall; sister-in-law Gwen Miklas; nephew Tony Edwards; and niece Mary Edwards.

Ruthie lived a full life. She has been loved, loved many and befriended by many.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Milnor United Methodist Church in Milnor. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery near Milnor. Ruthie's service will be lived streamed below.
