Steve Musselman of Oneida, TN, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.
What follows is a brief look at the life his family wishes to share.
Steve held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
The community of faith holds its own well — and Steve was held.
Steve H. Musselman age 72, "fought his fight, finished his course, and he kept his faith," 2 Timothy 4:7. Went on to be with the Lord on Monday, May 4, 2026. He was born on January 4, 1954, to the late Frank C. Musselman and Virginia Lay Musselman. Steve was a devoted preacher who loved sharing the Word of God and dedicated his life to the Lord's ministry and serving others. His faith was the foundation of his life and his spirit touched many. In addition to this calling, on Saturdays when the weather was nice, you would find him set up across from Boys and Girls Club selling socks and construction safety supplies. He found joy and happiness in life's most simple moments, especially fishing and walking 60 miles each week. A humble and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, he loved reading the Bible and speaking His Word. He leaves a lasting impact on those who were blessed to know him, always making people feel seen with his unwavering faith and gentle spirit. Steve was a devoted member of United Apostolic Church in Somerset, Kentucky where he worshiped and served his church family.
To know Steve was to encounter someone anointed, humble, and completely surrendered to God's calling on his life. His Bible was never far from his hand, and the Word of God was never far from his lips. He did not simply attend Church – his life was a testimony to the church in the way he loved, served, and ministered to others.
If there was ever a true "fisher of men," it was Steve.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother: Randy Musselman; Sister: Joann Miller, and Rose Felts; Sister-in-laws: Carmen Blackburn, Marilyn Blackburn, and Mary Margaret Blackburn; Brother-in-law: William Blackburn, Larry Blackburn, Leroy Blackburn, and Robert Stover; Great-Grandaughter: Xuree; Great-Grandson: Xaidyn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years: Rosalind Jean Musselman; Children: Sandra Wilson and husband Coy, Randy Toney and wife Jelisha, Daniel Musselman and wife Anneve, Steve Musselman and wife Crystal, Cathy Musselman, and Samuel Musselman; Sisters: Susan Poynter, Frankie Crooks, Doris Cathers, and Catheline; Grandchildren: Brandon, Cameron, Courtney, James, Jelisa, Jozlynn, Randi, Darrell, Johanna, Royce, Christian, and Cyrus; Great-Grandchildren: Leo, Luna, Joziah, Mateo, Amira, Ronan, Xavier, Xarayah, Xylah; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service to begin to 1:00 p.m. at The Anointed Church of the Living God (231 Letner Road, Helenwood, TN 37755) with Pastor Dean Spradlin officiating.
