Greenville – Tahir Rauf, 60, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Tahir was born in Pakistan and moved to New York when he was 24. He loved education and received a business degree from NY State University through Sullivan Community College and later a bachelor's degree from ECU in Biology and Computer Science. For over 10 years, he owned New Age Computer Solutions, and later worked in Real Estate with Century 21, Pfizer in Rocky Mount, and later transferred to ThermoFisher as a Quality Engineer.
Tahir enjoyed being on the water, especially riding his jet ski, boating, and fishing. He also enjoyed riding the four-wheeler, flying kites at Kitty Hawk, and star gazing with his children. A collector, Tahir loved collecting movies and a variety of other items.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juliet Rauf.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jenny Cutler Rauf; children, Alec Rauf of Wilmington, Emma Rauf and Jonah Rauf both of Greenville; siblings, Shahid "Bobby" Rauf (Victoria) of Virginia Beach, Zahid Rauf (Gule) of Goldsboro, Alia Siddiqui (Faisal) of VA; and a number of nieces and nephews and extended family.
