Terry Lee Craig of Windsor, MO, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.

The heart keeps better records than the calendar.

Terry Lee Craig, 71 of Windsor, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City.

Terry was born February 16, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Elton Randolph Craig and Dorothy Lee (Van Camp) Craig. He graduated from Knob Noster High School, Class of 73. He then attended State Fair Community College, where he attained an associate's degree in Farm Management. Terry was united in marriage to Cynthia Diane Turnbull on May 30, 1987, in Warrensburg. He served with the Warrensburg Fire Department from 1980 to 1989.

Terry left the Fire Department to live his dream of farming. He cherished the memory of helping his father build his childhood home and continued that tradition later in his life. He built six new houses along the way to help finance his farming business. At one point, he owned 400 acres. Funds were always tight, but God provided. Terry also enjoyed going to auctions, and he was also a beloved greeter at Evening Shade Mennonite Church near Warsaw.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Cindy; daughter: Christine Meldrum ( David) of Ozark, MO; three sons: Dallas Craig (Faith) of Clinton, MO; Jonathan Craig (Erica) of Branson, MO and Matthew Craig of Windsor, MO; five grandchildren: Micah Craig, Esther Craig, Jael Craig, Aria Craig, Adalee Craig and another on the way; two sisters: Vicki Hoffmann (Michael) of Pacific, MO and Lorri Terrell (Rodney) of Bates City, MO; brother: Randy Craig of Springfield, MO and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7th at Mt. Zion Christian Church, located at 951 Northeast Hwy NN; Sweet Springs, Missouri, with internment to follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Thursday at the church. Donations can be made, in lieu of flowers, to either Terry Craig memorial fund or Show Me Christian Youth Home at LaMonte, MO.
