Twila L. Swartz of Olathe, KS, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Twila spent her working life as ['the Civil Service at Fort Riley'] and held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

What is held in faith is rarely lost.

Twila L. Swartz, age 93 of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on May 5th, 2026, at Healthcare Resort of Olathe.She was born on February 17th, 1933, in Alta Vista, Kansas to parents Stephen A. and Cora (Stevenson) Stewart.She attended Alta Vista High School and graduated in 1951.She was married to Robert E Swartz on June 5th, 1951, who proceeded her in death on December 10th, 2011.A long time resident of Junction City, Kansas, she and Robert moved to Olathe in June of 2005.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Junction City, and retired from the Civil Service at Fort Riley, KS in 1994.Twila is survived by daughter Sherry and husband Bob Schuster, of Olathe, Kansas, and three sons, Robert, Jr and wife Cheryl of Abilene, Kansas, Stephen and wife Janell of Hutchinson, Kansas and Jay and wife Jeanie of Lone Jack, Missouri. She was also blessed with 13 Grandchildren, and 17 Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Aletta Andrews, of Hayward, California. Twila was preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers: Stephen and Darrell Stewart, and sisters: Betty Stewart and Mildred Baker.Burial will be at the Alta Vista Cemetery in Alta Vista, Kansas.
