Wanda Mae Lira, age 65, of Summersville, Missouri, passed away on May 4, 2026, at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri. She was born on May 29, 1960, in San Mateo, California, to Gerald Wayne Hampton and Lillie Mae Henson.On October 18, 1978, Wanda was united in marriage to John Lira. To this union, three children were born: Jennifer Lira, Jose Lira, and Erica Lira.Wanda grew up in Westminster, Orange County, California, where she spent much of her childhood. She married at 18 and moved to the Bay Area, living in San Jose and Mountain View, California, until 1998. She then moved to Utah, where she resided until last year, when she made Missouri her home.She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing board games, watching cooking and home design shows, and spending time with her family. While living in Utah, Wanda especially loved being around her family and treasured her grandchildren dearly.Wanda is survived by her mother, two sisters, her three children, seventeen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lira; her father, Gerald Wayne Hampton; and a brother, Charles Howard.She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
