William "Bill" Tillot of Fairview, NC has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

William "Bill" Tillot of Fairview, North Carolina, a man of boundless talents and an indomitable spirit, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Fletcher Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. Born on February 2, 1952, in Islip, New York, Bill graced this world with his presence for 74 remarkable years.
Bill was a self-employed master of mechanics and bodywork, known far and wide as an exceptional mechanic. His hands could fix anything, and he took great pride in being a jack-of-all-trades. But his talents didn't stop there; Bill was also a gifted musician, playing a variety of instruments with passion and skill. He found joy in cooking, using his culinary creativity to bring happiness to those around him.
A true explorer at heart, Bill loved traveling, enriching his life with new experiences and cultures. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved canine companions, Oreo and Bogey, who have since passed but remain forever in his heart.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Tillot and Marie Reggiani Texidor.
He is survived by his devoted life partner of 32 years, Denise Zeuner, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His legacy continues through his son, Dante Tillot, and daughter-in-law Mary; along with his three bonus children, Melissa Sullivan, Mike Southerland, and John Southerland. Bill was a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His three sisters, Marietta, Deloris, and Teresa, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will carry forward his memory. His loyal canine companion, Karma, remains a testament to Bill's love for animals.
No services are planned at this time, but Bill's family and friends will fondly remember him for his unwavering kindness, boundless talents, and zest for life. As we celebrate Bill's incredible journey, let us be inspired by his ability to find beauty and potential in everything he touched.
