Adi Latchmi Gounder, of Sacramento, California, passed away on May 2, 2026 in Sacramento.
Funeral Honors followed by cremation services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 PM at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95824, and will be officiated by Pundit Shalen.
Adi Latchmi was born in Uciwai, Nadi to Narain Sami and Parwati Gounder on October 21, 1939. She was married to Krishna Murthi Gounder in 1956.
Adi Latchmi was involved in Sangam organization for many years. From childhood she was nicknamed "Guddi", which means doll.
Adi Latchmi was preceded in passing by her husband Krishna Murthi, parents-in-law Chinayia and Janki Gounder, parents Narain and Parwati and only brother Nadesan Gounder.
Adi Latchmi is survived by her six beloved children Gunah, Kamal, Chinayia (Bobby), Vijia (VJ), Daniel, and Robin; sister Walliamma Reddy; grandchildren Sarah, Andrew, Anjali, Bobby Jr., Shawn, Tiffani and Julian; sons-in-laws Ram Reddy and Nabil Fraywat; daughters-in-law Debbie and Susana; grandson-in-laws Ravi Patel and Cory LaRussa; great-grandchildren Suri, Savi, Siya, Isabella, Brett, Cartier, Alayna and Sharon.
Adi's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of her doctors and nurses, especially at Sutter Medical Center and all family and friends who supported her in her wonderful long-life journey.
