What Dianne loved

Dianne Edna Digirolamo of Phoenix, AZ has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.

There is no greater gift than the one a parent gives by simply being present.

Born on June 17, 1952, in Minnesota, our beloved mother passed away on April 27, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, due to complications from a stroke.

She lived a life that was anything but ordinary.

She was a woman of strength, passion, and incredible kindness. She built deep friendships and filled her life with laughter, loyalty, and connection. She was known for her home-cooked meals, always making sure the people she loved were taken care of, and her natural ability to solve any problem. She was the friend you could count on, the sister that was always available, and the mother who truly loved unconditionally.

She was the oldest of seven children - five brothers (Mike, Louis, Dean, Richard, and Robert Uran) and one sister (Kathy Hohimer). She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Phyllis (Owens) Uran, and her brothers Mike and Richard.

Dianne had a bold spirit. She grew up around racing at Manzanita Speedway and Phoenix International Raceway, even racing AMC Javelins in her younger years. She later held executive roles in the long-term care and health laboratory industry, and was also a devoted stay-at-home mother during her children's early years.

She was married twice - first to Lonnie Hatfield, with whom she shared 25 years of marriage, and later to Wayne Digirolamo, the love of her life, who passed away in 2009. With Wayne, she found deep happiness.

She is survived by her son, Jason Hatfield, his wife Tara, and their children Rylan and Kaylin; and her daughter, Jamie Hatfield, and her daughter Stella.

Though our hearts hold both beautiful and difficult memories, what remains strongest is love and she was loved by so many.

Services are private. In her memory, please consider planting flowers or greenery - especially lilies, her favorite.
