Donato "Danny; Natooch; Caporale" Visco of Newton, MA has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.

It is the small moments that often matter most.

Visco, Donato, of Newton, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2026.

Donato was born on February 19, 1935, in San Donato Val di Comino, Frosinone, Italy, to the late Antonio and Lucia (Cucchi) Visco. He was blessed to be one of nine children. He was the beloved brother of the late Luigi Visco, Loreto Visco, Vincenza (Visco) Cellucci, Theresa (Visco) Camilli, Domenic Visco, Gerarda (Visco) Nath, and Maria (Visco) Valone, and is survived by his loving sister, Anna (Visco) Cucchi.

In his early twenties, Donato immigrated to the United States, where he later met his beloved wife, Antonia (Sabatini) Visco. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage and built a beautiful life in Newton, Massachusetts. With great pride, Donato became a naturalized citizen of the United States while remaining deeply connected to his Italian heritage.

Donato was a self-taught tradesman and master bricklayer whose hard work, determination, and skill led him to own a small business with his best friend and business partner, Donato Rufo. Together, they became known as D&D Construction. They took great pride in every project, whether big or small, and were known for their meticulous, precise, and beautiful craftsmanship.

Donato wore many hats and was known by many names, including Danny, Natooch, and Caporale. He enjoyed socializing and playing cards at the Soccer Club and the Sons of Italy. He was never one to pass up a cup of espresso or a glass of wine. Simple and honest, Donato was full of life, with a contagious smile, a generous heart, and a willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He took great pleasure in tending to his "small" garden, which produced an abundance of fruits and vegetables that he loved to share with family, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed sharing fresh eggs from his Rhode Island Red chickens.

Above all, Donato's greatest joy was his family. He will be forever cherished by his beloved wife, Antonia (Sabatini) Visco; his loving daughter, Silvana (Visco) Morrill, and her husband, Steven; and his devoted granddaughters, Michela and Danielle Morrill, who were truly the twinkle in his eyes. His face would light up simply in their presence, and he could not have been prouder of their accomplishments. He will also be lovingly remembered as Zi Donat by his many nieces and nephews, whom he adored.

Family and friends will gather to remember Donato at the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown Street, Newton, on Friday, May 15, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington Street, Newton. Entombment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donato's memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
