A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of her story.
Memory has a way of softening time.
Patricia June (McGonigle) Arsenault, 81
Patricia June Arsenault, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on September 17, 1944, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Pat made Newton her home, a place she cherished for over fifty years, and where she built a life full of warmth, laughter, and love.
At the center of Patricia's world was her beloved Theodore. Theodore was her husband, her caregiver, and her greatest joy. Together, they shared a life rich in simple pleasures, good meals, beautiful places, and the comfort of one another's presence.
Patricia spent her professional years as an office administrator at Joseph Glenn Insurance, where she was the indispensable "girl Friday", the kind of person who kept everything running smoothly and everyone around her grounded. She brought the same meticulous care to her work as she did to every corner of her life. Those who knew her at the office knew her thoroughness well. Her attention to detail extended outside her professional life as well, those who knew her well knew that she would always include her full zip code when giving her address in Auburndale: 02466-1113, you mustn't forget the "1113".
Patricia enjoyed the sound of Queen and Leonard Cohen filling a room. She adored tulips in every color. She looked forward to the time she spent at Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, Maine, a place she considered the most beautiful on earth. She also treasured the gentle charm of Ogunquit, Maine.
Pat and Theodore enjoyed the pleasures of a good meal shared in good company. Whether it be Woodman's of Essex in Rockport, Captain Marden's Seafood in Wellesley, or seafood from the Chateau Restaurant seafood was one of her favorites.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Daniel and Pauline (Thompson) McGonigle of Waltham, she was one of nine children, raised in the kind of large, lively household that teaches you early how to love generously and make room for others. That instinct never left her. She had a good heart, genuinely, simply, and without condition.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, simplicity, and quiet grace. Her presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather in celebration of Patricia's life on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Brasco Family Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, Waltham.
