Douglas Kuch, a man of great spirit and kindness, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at age 66. He was with his beloved partner, Laura Engle. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 31, 1959, he was the son of the late Margery and William Kuch. A lifelong sports fan, Douglas loved the Cleveland Browns and baseball. He shared this passion with his community as a dedicated and fair softball umpire. He was a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and enjoyed a successful career in sales and telecommunications, where he was known for his warmth and ability to make friends easily. Douglas was a resilient member of the head and neck cancer support group at the James Hospital. Even during his illness, he remained an inspiration to others through his patience and positivity. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will conclude in Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville.
