Gregory "Greg" Warren Burris of Owensboro, KY has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

Greg Burris, 56, of Bradenton, Florida, formally of Owensboro, passed away Friday May 1, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 18, 1969, in Tucson, Arizona, to Nolan Burris and Teresa Warren Wright. Greg was a 1988 graduate of Daviess County High School and attended the University of Kentucky. He worked for Andersen Windows as a sales representative prior to moving from Owensboro to Florida over 20 years ago where he worked as a sales representative for Southern Wine and Spirits.Greg had a lot of things in his life he was passionate about, family and friends being the most important of all. He loved cars, and very much enjoyed boating and spending time on the water. Greg also loved going snow skiing, and traveling, especially being fond of the Bahamas.He was preceded in death by his wife, Alisha Miller Burris in 2019; also, his maternal and paternal grandparents.Greg is survived by his mother, Teresa and Wayne Wright; father, Nolan and Cindy Nonweiler Burris; brothers, Ryan (Vanessa) Burris and Shaun and Amy Nonweiler; sister, Shelly and Alex Brenner; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.The funeral service for Greg will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2026, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Myke Templeton officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 12 until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
