The family of Cheryl Lynn Anderson of Massillon, OH announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.
Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.
Cheryl held deeply to the Presbyterian faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.
Cheryl Lynn Anderson, 77, of Massillon, our beloved mom, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2026, following a period of declining health. Born in Canton, July 10, 1948, a daughter to the late Lester and Jean (Wanner) Snyder, Cheryl graduated from East Canton High School with the Class of 1966. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in several healthcare settings and private practices throughout her nearly 50-year professional career.
A devoted wife, a loving and supportive mom, and a dedicated caregiver, Cheryl placed her husband, her daughters, and her patients at the center of her life. She created a safe, happy, welcoming home and filled it with wonderful memories. She had a soft spot in her heart when it came to animals, and a burst of energy and excitement there when it came to beach vacations and visits to lighthouses. As a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon, she actively served her faith community and particularly enjoyed singing in the choir. As a woman of faith, she renewed her strength and peace of mind in daily conversation with her Lord. Having received the validation of that faith, she now sees him face to face!
Mom's homegoing reunites her with her mom and dad, our dad, Richard Anderson, and her sister, Sue Snyder West. We, her daughters, Angela and Rebecca Anderson survive.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Central Presbyterian Church. Pastor Roger Sibert will officiate. Visitation and fellowship will follow the service in Bickle Hall. Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon has been entrusted with the immediate arrangements. No additional flowers are necessary however, we know mom would be thrilled with a memorial contribution made to advance the mission and ministry of either Central Presbyterian Church – 47 – 2nd Street NE, Massillon, Ohio 44646, or the Humane Society of Stark County – 5100 Peach Street NE, Louisville, Ohio 44641.
Your memories and condolences are always welcome and may be added here to mom's on-line guestbook.
